Drag Coefficient Estimation of Low Density Objects by Free Fall Experiments

چکیده

Abstract The present article investigates whether the drag coefficient of low density objects can be determined by free fall experiments with sufficient accuracy. Among other things, depends on flow velocity, which controlled in wind channels experiments. Free do not offer an experimental environment constant velocity. Especially later part movement gets relevantly influenced air deceleration. We theoretically estimate average sphere for relevant falling spheres. results are verified examining from data. Finally, we determine a model rocket, is compared to result corresponding channel experiment.

Experiments of a Space Robot in the Free-Fall Environment

Ve propose an experimental system of a space robot in the microgravity environment at the Japan Microgravity Center (JAMIC), where the microgravity k e p t as accurate as ~ o ~ G for 10 secondsis generated by 49Om-depth free-fall. We developed a system for experiments of free-flyers at the JAMIC. In this paper, we take up two important topics to perform the experiments. The first one is to rele...

The Development of Maximum Likelihood Estimation Approaches for Adaptive Estimation of Free Speed and Critical Density in Vehicle Freeways

The performance of many traffic control strategies depends on how much the traffic flow models have been accurately calibrated. One of the most applicable traffic flow model in traffic control and management is LWR or METANET model. Practically, key parameters in LWR model, including free flow speed and critical density, are parameterized using flow and speed measurements gathered by inductive ...

Free-space Relativistic Low-frequency Scattering by Moving Objects

The present study brings together two aspects of electromagnetic theory: the recently discussed low-frequency series expansions based on the concept of Consistent Maxwell Systems, and Einstein’s Relativistic Electrodynamics. Combined, this facilitates the analysis of pertinent low-frequency scattering problems involving objects moving with arbitrary constant velocities in free space. The low-fr...
